Jazz Festival Hopping

Your Guide to Europes Jazz festival's

sunny

If you have ever been to a Jazz Festival then you will love this blog. If you have never been to a Jazz Festival, then you will learn a lot from this blog.

I think that it's time that we as a culture take back the intelligent waves of the mind and stop the systematic bombardment of the mind with this so called music of today. Don't get me wrong I like some of the music of today as long as it is expanding the mind. There is some great artists of today just like it has been throughout history.

But it comes a time when you notice that the music is going in the wrong direction and our young are being fed this garbage in access. Not only that, but it tells in a society where that society is coming from.

I could go on and on about this subject, but what I'm here for is to tell you about some great festivals and where you can find them.

There are some great jazz Hot Spots for you to go on Vacation to or just go to and listen to some great music. Not only that, but I've been to over 200 Festivals maybe more, I have to take a look at my T-shirt and poster collection and then I would be able to tell you exactly how many I've attended.

Global Festival

One dream of mine!

sunny 32 °C

One of the best global festivals around is the W.O.M.A.D festival. (World of Music Arts and Dance). I went to Reading (Reading, England just outside of London) festival about 3 years ago, and was blown out of the water with this festival. This is the festival I have dreamt about for many years and, here I am in the midst of it all. I could not believe my ears and eyes.

If you like to enjoy the world music sound, then you will love this festival. I just walked around the festival grounds with this big grin on my face, just enjoying the sounds and smells of the world. I was truly in my zone here. My moment my zen for life. I heard everything from Indian, Mali, Celtic, tuval, Cosmic to deep trip house beats being played all over the festival grounds. You will also find food from all over the world being prepared and served. Your taste buds will just explode with excitement!

The most amazing thing about these types of festivals is, you'll even see little kids age 8 & 9 attend these festivals. They even know a lot of the groups that perform at this festival. Now that to me was impressive. I know for a fact that in America we know nothing of these groups ( if it's not Rap, Pop, or Rock) and especially little kids. It was such a pleasant surprise to see so many little kids with so much musical knowledge and culture in their blood. I could really relate to this because I grew up with the same type of background.
